● Designed statistical and ML-based prediction models, boosting spatial accuracy by ~30%, and produced validated change-detection layers supported by dozens of ground-control points. Extracted geomorphological metrics from large-scale satellite datasets (250+ scenes) to assess sediment accretion and erosion.

• Compared demographic & socioeconomic factors to study the direction of urban movement.​

Forest fire risk and endangered species mapping using GIS

• Identified the critical zones of forest fires at various levels with the help of elevation and land use data.

Fall Foliage Interactive Dashboard

• Created a dashboard to observe the peak of fall season throughout the US using geotagged Flickr APIs.

Undergrad Final Year Thesis Project

Sea Surface Temperature (SST) Prediction using Neural Networks

• Generated a time series prediction of SST with the help of five different deep learning models.
• Examined the variability of seasonal SST for both the Arabian Sea & Bay of Bengal regions for 18 years.

Correlation between rainfall and groundwater

• Analyzed the correlation between groundwater & precipitation for the entire District of Kancheepuram.

 

Affine Transformation of Coordinates Application

• Prepared an application to perform affine transformation on sets of coordinates for the Photogrammetry Lab at the Institute of Remote Sensing.
